Hey guys,

I'm not a big fan of Matt Heafy or Trivium, but this anecdote made me really smile.

Burgers With Petrucci | Kiichi

Matt's story really explains his juvenile/anticipatory feeling when he plans to dine with his guitar hero.
Again, JP is pictured as a really straight forward guy with a good heart (and appetite ;))
He concludes with his admiration for the EBMM JP model. Just had to share it, because it resembles the enthousiasm I feel when listening to DT or JP or when playing my very own MM :)
Cheers

Not to necro an old threat but......Big Poppa, How do you get someone like Heafy on board????? :) Obviously a huge fan of Petrucci but I am also a HUGE fan of Trivium and mainly Heafy. He has one of the fastest right hand down picking/chugging in the business. But I also love songs like Shogun where you get the middle Beatlesqu breakdown for 4 min...

I know he is a big Gibson endorser but he did record some of the crusade with a JP7....Listen to thier whole catalog and the most interesting and IMO talented thing about them is that they do Metal, Thrash, Death, MetalCore, Prog Metal, etc. Yes there is a difference and yes each album sounds like its own defined sub genre of metal

And every album is recorded in a different tuning...Acension drop D, The Crusade Standard E, Shogun 7 String Standard B and In Waves Drop C#......Im rambling now....lol

We have spoken to Matt a few years ago. He mentioned he was very happy with his current guitar endorsement but was so impressed with the JP7 that he wanted to purchase one for his collection. He ordered a White JP7! I believe he has used it on several tracks over the past few years and is still a big fan of the guitar. db
