The Flatz Matte Protectant is not available in Amazon anymore.

Cant seem to find a Matte protectant in my country. Are there alternatives for the Majesty?

Thanks!

There was some threads about this in the past when the majesty came out. If I recall correctly, CS pointed out that a matte finish will naturally shine up where there is most contact but that's what matte finishes do and is not really avoidable (short of clear coating). They did recommend something for cleaning though. Use goolge and add "site:ernieball.com" to your search terms to find the old forum posts.

When I bought my Majesty (June 2015) CS told me they use the Custom Shop Flatz Matte Finish Cleaner which I found available thru tcpglobal.com. It has since disappeared off their product list.

DrKev is correct - it will shine up and traditional polishes will speed that up - and even the Matte cleaner should be used sparingly.

Yes the recommended product is no longer available. Customer service recommended nothing new as they still have a supply of the TCP Global they had previously recommended at the factory.

They did not recommend a specific product but said to try any matte cleaner in the trem cavity first to be sure it's safe.

I think I'll just periodically wipe my Majesty guitar off with a clean dry polish cloth, and wear a sleeve on the right forearm where my arm would be in contact with the instrument. This is what most classical guitarists do to protect a French polished guitar.

Watch out playing with a sleeve, that may speed up wear. You're effectively buffing it constantly, which might be fine for a glossy instrument but the matte finish on the Majesty will shine up.
