Yea, I'm not too sure wether I like his tone on these last 2 new releases, but that's also because I dont listen and have those albums. I heard basically most of it, but I dont rather like them much compared to the earlier stuff. I think his best tone for me was on Images and Words and also on the live double CD Once in a Live Time (is that what it was called? :confused: ). On that live CD he was also using his Ibanez JPMs :eek: !

I love JP's tones from all eras. My favorite tones are definitely from the Road King/EBMM era, though.

It's strange how some call these tones harsh. To me, the harshest ones are earlier tones from the Ibanez days. Whatever floats your boat. Just goes to show you how different peoples opinions can be.
