hi folks,

my band "Morbid Sky" is working on the recodings and mixing of our upcoming CD at the moment.
i just uploaded a pre-mix of the song "Burning Alive". the vocals are just the guide-track vocals and will be changed in a few days and backing vocals will be added as well.

the songs was recorded "live" at our rehearsal room and i did the guitar double take at home.

and if someone says, "you can´t play metal-style with a Y2D".....i think you can do it! ;)

enjoy!
and of course, feel free to leave a feedback.

thanks guys for that warm feedback!

Sounds cool...very Fates Warning like.

Congrats...and great tone!

Which amp are you using?

i´m using a mesa boogie roadster or a yerasov bulldozer (2-channel dual recto copy), but for the recordings....well, we recorded the guitar siganl direct via DI-box for "reamping" the signal afterwards. and for this, i started to try out the "LePou" amp plugins, guess what, all guitar sounds you are hearing in this song are made with this freeware amp plugin running into "recabinet 3.1" for speaker simulation.
on the right side it is the Lecto - one of the best software rectifiers i´ve ever heard so far.
i recorded the "bulldozer" amp via the slave-out and ran it into recabinet as well - guess what, it sounds so similar to the "LeCto", that´s unbelievable.
on the left side you hear LePous own creation of an amp. for some other songs i use a marshall plugin, that depends on the song and the sound i want to have.
in real live, our other guitarplayer is using a marshall 6100 head.
