Ain't that finish lovely? Once in a while you'll see some SRs and Sterlings with some interesting and rare finishes. And they are all shexy. Bery shexy.

I dig that finish. It would be jaw dropping if that bass got a tortoise shell slapped on it.

so when and how do these rare-finish basses get around the world?
i mean are those just some limited edition color or ....

cause i ask brian from chucklevins about copper sparkle finish and he said that MM doesnt have that color, while i saw a couple floating on my local GC's already ... just wondering how it actually works :p

I don't know about all special finishes but the copper sparkle was a prototype finish that they made for the winter NAMM show and then decided not to put into regular production. They probably come up with special finishes for different events or just new color ideas, etc., then some dealers may get the opportunity to purchase the special finish basses.

As for the brown sparkle, I like it. If I had some extra money lying around, I might just buy it.
