Saw this genius live last month and I wondered how many knuckleheads heard of him and/or dig his music. I had a chat with him and his wife, and he's a really cool cat!

The first time I got to listen to Mike was through Lucious's El Grupo Tour, where he played I'm Buzzed, and I still think it's one of the best tunes period.

One question: Does anyone know the chords of 'Eater', a track on Mikes Tales from the Bulge album? I know it's a long shot, but who knows:D

Landau is a genius!, I've followed him for years. I've got some of his solo stuff and a Raging Honkies album. Difficult to find but well worth tracking down. I think you can get his albums from his website 'Unconscious records'.

If you read the notes on AOR albums from the late 80's, early 90's he appears on loads he's even been on a Pink Floyd album. He also tours in James Taylor's group.

And he has one of the best amp/effects rigs in the business.

Pity he's never used EBMMs!

Yeah, Landau is an awesome player. I think Tales from the Bulge is the best "guitar" album of them all. It's not all shred, it's just musical.
Although, like Robelinda2 said, a lot of his session stuff is killer, like the Richard Marx / Steve Perry / Michael McDonald / Joni Mitchell / James Taylor...etc...session stuff. Awesome. :)
