I have the green Classic Stingray with the waxed neck. I thought that I was told by someone at EB that the color on the initial GC series like mine was called "surf green." It seems like the tag might have said surf green. Was the color originally called surf green and then changed to mint green later with the deluxe classics?

Yes it was. When GC did their initial order we had not yet officially named the color so some of their first Classics are in the system as Surf Green. But it's the exact same color as the officially named Mint Green

The prototype is different too. I think they called it Seafoam. But it is clearly a different shade of green.
