Just for fun, although I am seriously considering ordering very soon, what spec would you have for a new Stingray 4 HH?
I sold my last one to fund a Stingray 5 HH, which is beautiful.
But, the 4 HH was a great 'all rounder' to use in my indie bands, when I was primarily just enjoying the freedom of 4 strings and I didn't need the low B so much.
I've always been someone who used the right bass for the right band, but I guess that isn't really a concern as a 5 string will do as a 4 string does! But, I do like to keep my chops up on a 4 string as its my original 'home'.
I was considering a rosewood neck, but I think I'd like to keep the stock maple neck with a rosewood board, non-matching headstock, and something nice and classic or very modern looking...
So, possibly a 4 HH in natural with a black guard, or a 4 HH in Sky Blue with a white guard, or a 4 HH in Tangerine Pearl with a black guard. Simple but super effective and still looking awesome!
The other option is to get a Sterling 4 HH...same kind of colour scheme....hmmmm....
