Snapped this pic of Nicole getting ready for practice tonight - thought I'd share for the Big Al lovers in the house...

Like the bass face. Now, don't get me wrong, I love a good Big Al pic just like the rest of us, but about that Hammond! I have the XK1 and I love it, love it.

I am blessed to play with Kevin Burton on the XK-3. He toured with Freddie King as a teenager, couple of gold records with Maze. He is a big fan of Nicole and that bass, calls her "Little Duck".

We have a lower manual for the XK-3, you should hear us tear up some organ-trio blues.

Looks like she is getting her game face on. Or she didn't like the text message she got on the cell phone she is holding

Nothing quite like the Hammond in a trio playin blues. I can dig it. I'm thinking Tony Monaco trio, "White Dude Special", you play that one? one of my all time faves.

Uh hum. now back to the basses. I am sure that Big Al with the "fat P" setting would work great in a blues trio.
