I could not resist mentioning that it was nice to see a nice red Petrucci model ( that's what I think it was) at the Grammys last night, played by John Fogerty. For me it was the highlight of the night (beside the Rhapsody in Blue) really.
Wouldn't it be great to have a similar award show filled with music that usually ( never ) doesn't have a place at the Grammys? I'm talking fusion, progressive, metal, instrumental rock, etc. Have bands like Toto, Spock's Beard, Dream Theater, Rush perform and hand out awards. Maybe Satriani would win then the much deserved award for best instrumental album. LOL.
