Question MM-Logo on Stingray-Tuners and Bridge

What a strange question. Im guessing it is engraved. Punching this detailed without leaving anny marks on the rear seems imposible to me. Too bad the sub usa basses dont have this....

good point. But how do you know the tuners are stamped? On the subs these are also not done....
Musicman said about the cheaper price of the MM Sub-Series, that they left off some "cosmetical details", like the logos on the Tuners, Bridge and the serial on the neckplate. The hardware should be the same as on the "original" Stingrays. But I wonder, how much cheaper a bass can be, when I left of the cosmetical details. When the Logos are stamped, this is made by an engine in really short time. An engraving needs more time and should be some more costly.

For me, the musicman logo stamped on everything helps make the bass.
No problem. Wasn't gonna offer you my SUB anywho ;-)
Just picture some worker or some robot engraving tuners .....
Good question, tho, about "where's the savings in that?". I
spoze the actual real savings are in the other more tedious
cosmetics not executed, and the tuner thing is prolly just a
case of being consistent. IIRC, BP said that a real savings
came from not plugging the end of the fret slots with wood
filler, and since you never find anyone asking about that, I
guess there's a cosmetic item that no one ever cared about
even on the full price models. IOW, you asked about logos
and how they are done, but no one ever asks "Hey, what's
that stuff plugging the end of the fret slot ?".
