MM spotting

I went to see PJ Harvey last night, which was a wonderful show, and her bass player alternated between a black/rosewood Precision and a black/maple MM SUB. Polly Jean's Gibson Firebird and Orange rig gave me wood.

Im guessin his sub was a custom job cause dont they only come in rosewood fretboards, or am i mistaken?

Yup. Website says only rosewood. Perhaps he bought a StingRay neck with a maple fingerboard and fitted it on his SUB? Just guessing.

It definitely had the ugly SUB graphics on the headstock, and the matt finish body.

If they will make a passive Bongo for an artist a maple necked SUB seems very realistic. Were you able to get any pics Mark?

Dont know if you guys have heard of him, but Pete Murray's (Aussie singer - has some nice tunes) bassist also uses a SUB (with custome pickguard)...
