MM SUB 2 switch

Question rephrased; I have a Music Man SUB. I Would like to have a off/on switch installed on it. My question is can this be done without difficulty, I realize these are not collectible, just playable, and sounds pretty good.

I would think any alterations would decrease the value, but I wouldn't worry about it too much if it's a SUB. No offense to the SUB, I love them... but they aren't exactly what you would call a collector's item.
