Hi All,

I've been stalking everyone at the Forum for a couple of weeks now and thought I had better show some manners and introduce myself.

Hi, I'm Tony, there, its done.

Unfortunately, I don't yet own a MM:( , but will be the proud owner of one within the next few weeks, of that I assure you, so please don't kick me, not till ya get to know me first anyhoo!

I must first let you know that Cherub, one of your members here, is to blame for my presence, and for my serious GAS for a MM. He has let me look at his a few times, and whilst he wasn't looking, I even touched his Luke's and JP at a gig. Wow, the neck! The build quality! Just Incredible.

Anyway, just thought I would tip the hat.

Hi Tony.
How big are you?????

Bigger than I would like to be at the moment! Stopping smokin sure piled on the pounds! But hey, atleast I can breathe now:D

Maybe if I manage to lose it I may beg admin to change my name to 'not so big Tony'!

Thank you all so much for the kind welcomes. :)

Well, after spending some time looking at all the options, of which there are far too many for a simple man like me, here is my brief:

JP Body in mystic dream
Luke EMG Routing & Pick-up config
Luke Neck with Blank Ebony Fretboard (headstock colour same as JP body)
Custom inlay at 13th fret (13 is my lucky number)
Small Vintage Frets
JP Trem.
Ghost System
Piezo

Not too much to ask is it? Ok, I may be willing to drop the piezo on account of it having the ghost system.

As that guitar is not currently available, and taking into account that I have yet to sell my first million records, I am now leaning towards the Luke. Colour yet to be confirmed. I have just got back from Cherub, and played the Luke just long enough to be in aw of it. I just want to have a last little play of a JP just to confirm the choice.

Hola, Big Tony! Welcome! And congrats on giving up smoking! Breathing better is a beautiful thing and the money you would have spent on smokes can now be applied to guitars!:D :D :D What a beautiful trade off!;)

Hey bigtony and welcome to the forum.
Since you love Mystic Dream and the JP body why not go for a JP. You won't be disappointed :p .
PS: Congratulations on quitting smoking!

Hey bigtony and welcome to the forum.

Im gonna have another play of the JP over the next few weeks, well, as long as I get permission from Cherub to do so, he is very protective of his babies.

At the moment though, I love the neck on the Luke, Im a strat player, so that felt most natural with the smaller frets. The JP frets initially felt too big, but again, Im gonna have another blast, I do prefer the whole look of the JP.

Hi Tony, welcome onboard.
no Morse on your wish-list?

The Morse certainly does look very nice, I just havn't tried one yet, or a Silo for that matter. Thats the only reason I havn't figured them into any plans. Ignorance is bliss! Trust me, the wifey is already giving me those looks!;)

Tony, you gotta play a silo special with 3 single coils, if you are a strat player you will LOVE the silo special.

I've been looking at some Silo's and wow, there are some seriously beautiful ones, infact, I do have my eye on one at the moment. I prefer a humbucker at the bridge now.
My only concern, is that I play EMG's, hence leaning towards the Luke so much. I don't really want to buy a MM and have to change the pups straight away. But yeah, some of the Silo's are very yummy!

Sometimes, you have to make your own creation!
