Hey everyone. New guy to the forum here with a question. First off, I recently purchased an MM90 and absolutely love this guitar! They really knocked this one out of the park! The only problem is the 60 cycle hum is just too much in some rooms, even with the silent circuit. The tone of this guitar is just amazing and I hate to change it, but can anyone recommend a hum canceling P90 style replacement? Is there something that will fit the guitar without additional mods? FYI I run a little gain, but not much. I also add some compression which, of course adds to the problem and I'm sure is above and beyond what the silent circuit is meant to do. But its what I like. :D Thanks so much!

Over the years I've seen a few folks replace them with noiseless ones (e.g. Dimarzio Virtua P90), however this has always required deepening the pickup routes slightly, as those tend to be taller.

I'd also be interested to hear about a drop-in noiseless replacement that didn't require routing.

Welcome & congrats!
My first thought would be to make sure the silent circuit is working properly....
I have no idea how to test it but EBMM customer service should be able to assist.

I've got a few MM90 guitars and they are all dead quiet.

Good thought, I believe I'll do just that. Thanks!
