Yes please can you include some clean clips - maybe a little bit of finger picking to see if they have a bit of cluck and quack about 'em.

Cheers

Spud

Not sure they'd have much cluck and quack on the ASS. It's a 3 position. Gotta go to the Albert 5 position for that.

neck pup position: Chords, signle note-ish stuff (what i remember from Metallica's Fade to Black's opening solo)
middle pup position: Chords, signle note stuff (a bit from Stray Cat Strut)
bridge pup position: Chords, random thing, some ska-ish stuff, signle note stuff

neck pup: finger picking (i tried at least to wing it)
middle pup position: finger picking (i a little harder this time)
bridge pup position: finger picking (i almost gave up at this point)

and here's the link:

oh ya ....
this was all done in Garageband again w/ no effects except the reverd was at about 5/100 (so not much at all)

Thanks Arin!
That sounded way better than I would have expected! :D
The chords you started out with sounded like Guns 'n' Roses - I Used to Love Her.
Is that what I was hearing??

They only sounded crappy to you because you never play that way.
They were great! Thanks.

note: i turned the gain on my M-audio firewire thing down when recording the LP cuz its hotter and clips way more than the ASS

phatduckk, which maudio box are you using? And the big question, do you like it? I'm shopping around for something to enable some pc based recording and am not sure which way to go with it.

i have the MAudio Firewire solo ...
http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/FireWireSolo-main.html

its cool. i have no complaints but i have no huge requirements either. on my laptop it had NO lag ... buton my desktop it sometimes does. I think its cuz my laptop has 1.25 GB RAM and the desktop only has 1 GB. When the lag kicks in i use the maudio control panel to "reset" it and the lag goes away.

i purchased a USB maudio device and the lag was horrible. and like i said this one, on the computer w/ more ram, pretty much never lags.
