Had an interesting experience last friday - my new band - barrel of monkeys - had our debut gig (to critical acclaim from punters and muso's a like..yay)....

Anyway every bands bassist bar the opening act were playing MM's - both acts before my band - the guys were playing gorgeous 4 string stingrays (fantastic players to boot)... and of course I tore it up with my sterling.... It was like one big family!!! Will post pics soon!!!

the highlight was my mother telling me how hot my baby looked on stage....

Don't know why I wanted to share that but I just did...

Best wishes all for the silly season....drink and be merry!!!!

Here in Boston we just played a sold out show at Axis and every other bass player had a Fender Jazz bass/Ampeg8X10 with various Ampeg heads, I had my 93 Ray with the original Pickups finally in it and my Ampeg stuff listed below and I got tons of compliments on my sound, people where blown away with the sound of this bass especially when its just bass and drums! these MM basses are the best playing and sounding basses I've ever played and hopefully people around here will start to wake up and realize they sound better too!

the reason I sometimes use my washburn is because of the body shape where I'm used to holding my forearm against the body when I'm playing fast, I've had the burn for years you could say.

But stingrays,,,,, O' my GAWD! do they sound good in a live mix!!!
