Hey guys,
i am thinking of getting my first musicman just because i fell in love with the shape. I think its the coolest guitar ever.
However this comes with some issues. Others that i think are fixable and others that you have to leave with. For example the fret access..
I was thinking.. Majesty's trem looks like the vincent's one. Are they the same? If yes the only difference should be that some wood is missing from the back so the trem can go both ways. What if i could take the guitar to a good luthier and remove some wood? Do you think it could be done?

It absolutely can be done, but is it really necessary? Many of us here float our trems by simply adjusting the trem angled with a 1/8" (3mm) gap at the back of the plate. That's how the Luke guitars are set up at the factory. Gives a major third up bend on the G string. If you want to modify the guitar, by all means go ahead and do so, but if you have not already tried this method, perhaps give it a try first.

Cool! I didnt know thats the factory setting.. I mean ive seen it on some fenders, but thats all. So those trems are indeed the same.

Yes and no. :) There are some design and material differences depending on the guitar model or year, but at the end of the day they are all two-point trem system and they function pretty much identically.
