Modified EBMM Axis on Ebay

There is a modified Axis on Ebay right now. Just wondering what those mods do to the resale value. I may email the seller to get more details on who did the work, how it was done etc. A tone knob and some extra switches were added to coil split and provide a bunch of pup selections. Also has a shortened whammy bar and different Dimarzio pups.
I am on the market for an Axis so any advice on this particular guitar would be appreciated.

i trust my hacking on guitars...but not someone on ebay that i don't know.......
too many other deals somewhat more safe that are not tampered w/ come & go along on ebay ......

Just my $.02, but it sounds as if somebody tried to turn an Axis into a Something-Else. If you want something else, get something else instead of butchering a perfectly good guitar.

You guys have good points! And I appreciate your opinions. Buying sight unseen probably isn't the best idea and I'll be stayin away from this one.
