mods on Steve Morse Y2D

I was wondering if anyone has done any mods to their Y2D , i was thinking about putting 500k push pull pots to coil tap the humbuckers but not sure yet. so i figured come here and see if anyone did any mods to theirs and what they sounded like.

The only mod I have done on my y2d is make the tone pot a blend control for a coil of the bridge bucker. It works like a volume control and only affects one coil - you can get some super twang mixing it with the regular single in position 2.

Strange coincidence. I was talking to a guy on Monday that owns a Y2D; he just put 1 meg pots in his and was extremely stoked about the results. He said the pickups really scream now.

I'm just loving the MM Morse everytime i look at it. I would for sure get it in black though.

they are not active pickups in the Steve Morse models.

Well then, the 1M pot is an easy enough mod. I'd like to hear that in action.
Maybe too hot for the single coil though? or the weird pickup positions Morse uses?

well, it's not br00tal brutal, it's more like... you can still play creeping death and it sounds like the original song, only lower. i think the gauge 56 string (sixth) sounds a whole lot better tuned to C than B. much much punchier (at least as much as a normal 6 string hardtail). for that psychosocial/dark eternal night kind of sound, i have a jp7.
