OK as you know I just picked up a new ASS, which was an impulse buy(GAS) but I also had a dilema before that, which is why the title of this thread is craziness;)
so it goes like this, before I bought the BFR Luke, i had bought a NOS Candy Red Luke from GC, I got a good deal on it, the sales man cleaned it up and off we went to the house, but once i got it home I kept finding small blemishes in the finish, nothing major but I did not see them at the store, and I am kinda anal about that type of stuff, if i put them there then OK but not from the dealer, so I went to take it back for a refund but the Platinum room manager offered to order a new one at the same deal I was given so I agreed, a month later is when I picked up the BFR and said that I would just sell the Red Luke when it got here, well it showed up last week and man it was fantastic, but i still put it up for sale, but was torn with keeping it, but knew i could only keep one, well then the ASS came along and knowing that a formite, who shall remain nameless had said if you let go of the BFR I will take it, I decided to to something crazy, which is to keep the Candy Red Luke and sell the BFR, so I turned the BFR into a Luke and a ASS and one formite is going to be very happy, sorry for the long post but I am crazy and happy:p

So pics of Mr. Luke and check the case pic out.

Hey Fing,

Any idea what the deal is with name plate on this case. Never seen one on a Music Man case before. Is it something new for 2008?

Yes I did, and I made someone very happy with my choice and I am happy plus i most likely will get another BFR Luke down the road, I really like the new colors, especially the amethyst.

Scott,

I am assuming it the new look for 2008, this guitar was shipped out just 8 days ago from SLO and the ASS I just bought did not have it but it is an 07 model, just thought that was a cool touch to the case.

Good God man....what the hell did you eat!
:D

Seriously....you still have a couple of great guitars and they are EBMMs.

If it works for you then so be it!
:)

You aren't the only one who has has done something crazy like this. I let go of a stunning Mystic JP for a Japanese guitar that will remain nameless. Oy vey!
NEVER AGAIN!

and somebody else is reaping all the benefits.........

Honestly, that's what I would do too, 2 is better than one.

The new "inlay" by the handle is pretty cool looking IMO.

You know guys this is fun and I still own great EBMM guitars and without sounding like I am playing favorites, I would have kept the BFR except for the fact that the formite who bought it really wanted it and I wanted him to have it, just made the decision easy, this whole deal has given me the warm fuzzy feeling, Damn enough of that muck already:D

Fing, I can understand your dilemma...that Luke is stunning. I just love the bright colors with the natural headstock. You made out WELL this week I'd say!

... and knowing that a formite, who shall remain nameless had said if you let go of the BFR I will take it...

So do you want him to remain nameless permanently? I think I know him, and if I'm right, it went to a very good home. ;)

...and one formite is going to be very happy...

Frankly, if you include yourself, I suspect you made two forumites happy. :D

Mike,

I figured the said formite would prefer to remain nameless until said guitar is in there possesion:p
