I currenly have an SR 4H w/Rosewood FB, a Bongo 4HH, and a Bongo Fretless 4HHP that I play exclusively. I don't even touch any of my other basses any more. Only issue is that my wife refuses to let me sell any of my basses, even the cheap ones!!!

Yesterday my wife and I took a trip to our local Guitar Center. I wanted to check out the Stingray 4HH w/Rosewood FB to try to alleviate some of my GAS :D

I plugged into an Ampeg rig on the sales floor and was swept away by the range of colored tones I was getting from that sweet bass. I then plugged in a SR5HH w/Maple FB. Now, I am no 5 stringer but after a little tweaking I was was getting some righteous, earth moving tones of love out of that beast!!! What a monster! My wife thought it was overwhelming. She said it was like death by chocolate (chocolate cake with fudge filling, chocolate frosting, with chocolate ice cream, syrup and sprinkles). I thought it killed!!!:)

I tried a couple of other basses and ended turning my nose up to them all. I love EBMM basses. The only issue now is how am I going to afford all the EBMM basses I want!!!! Got my sights on that SR 4HH and the SR5 HH.

Oh, the struggle of being a poor bass player ;)

"Trade in" your unwanted basses. That way it's not really "selling" them??????

Don't leave out the Sterling 5 - it's completely GAS-worthy! Here's a pic of mine from the DuBaldos:

Anybody got a picture of an SR5 Natural with Rosewood?

That's the apex of my GAS right now.

It's bad enough to trump the red storm on Jupiter.
