I've been out of the guitar hobby for a while. As I'm trying to get back in the loop I see these great JP7 BFRs. Is EBMM done making them or can I still order one? I'm looking for a trans black flame JP7 BFR.

I called Musician's Friend a few minutes ago. They have a trans black flame JP7 BFR listed on their webpage, but the customer service rep said that they were out of stock. Then she added that they'll be getting more in-stock around Christmas? I thought the BFRs were limited?

Are more BFRs inbound? :eek::confused:

So they're still available for order? I thought the BFRs were a limited deal.

Nope, the JP BFR's are part of EBMM's regular production. Though as always, on a built to order basis. Certain BFR's such as the rosewood neck option were only available to order for a limited time.

Oh, okay.

Another question; can I request a transparent black flame JP7? I think I remember reading that a customer could only request color, not wood type. Is that correct? I'd just really hate to order a trans black JP7 and be stuck with a quilted top. I just dislike quilt so much.

You currently have the option of choosing flame or quilt. Quilt comes with an upcharge.

The BFRs are limited production, the Amethyst, Emerald, Tobacco, and Walnut colors are no longer available. You can still get trans black, though!

Awesome. Then it's settled. You ready for an order, Pete? ;)

Well, that was fast.

I just ordered a JP7 BFR in trans black flame...

and picked up a JP6 in mystic dream on the side.

I've been waiting a while to join the EBMM family! :D

Thanks again, Pete! ;)

Thanks, guys. . I've seen Pete's posts on a few forums over the last few years and I just had to deal with him. He has a good online persona and seemed really friendly and nice on the phone.

I may end up purchasing a graphite pearl JP6 in the future. I really like the look of that for some reason. :)

Todd, thanks for the order, I'm glad I could help you out!

Graphite Pearl was discontinued on October 15, 2009, so you will have to find one that is already out there (or find one currently in production somewhere). If you can't find one online, call EB Customer Service - they can let you know if any stores show the guitar in stock.

Who knows? You might decide that you only want to have a BFR. So, Graphite Pearl's discontinuation might be a non-issue.

True...but beware of his evil dark side. He is the mastermind behind DuBaldo Dominance. Once he sucks you in it's all over.
