Okay, first, BIG POPPA, IF I sell this bad boy, I WILL buy yet another Bongo, okay?
Or maybe a dual pickup Sterling or something.
Even if I do have a Fender poster.
I got this a few weeks ago from Tom F and it really is one of the best Stingrays I've ever played, EVEN WITH ROUNDWOUNDS. Yes, I liked it so much that I've gone insane and left the Slinkys on it! Ray Duke agrees and thinks I'm nuts for even considering selling this one, but it's just too heavy for me.
Yes, I'm telling you up front - it's a heavy beast. I haven't weighed it yet, but will do so tonight and add the information, but this is not for the faint of heart or the weak of shoulder.
I played it with the band last night for about an hour and they loved it ("Look! It's not a Bongo!") but I'm old and it's just too heavy for me.
It's in great shape. Like new, even (except it's not). It would look fabulous with a moonstone guard, of course. Comes with an SKB case.
After hearing it in a band situation, I would keep it if it were just a bit lighter, but hey, I'm a girly man and you're not.
I am also open to trades, but mostly only maybe a Bongo in a configuration I don't have (single humbucker, hummer-single coil).
This is, however new it looks, a used bass and also one of my personal basses, so I am willing (IF I KNOW YOU) to take on the additional headache of shipping to you danged old foreigners.
850 shipped in the continental USA, we'll have to talk if shipped to some foreign clime.
