I was just thinking about this today, Steve Morse is one of those people who grace this planet too infrequently. A rare talent and credit all around. Thanks for the post.

I got that album soon as it came out - especially for the Morse content. Didn't realize Portnoy and Sheehan provided drums and bass on so much of that album.

Also caught my eye that on the other Morse tune, rhythm guitar is Richard Chycki - who's normally in the producer seat.

As you can probably tell from my sig, HUUUUUGE Morse fan here.

I was hanging with Steve at Sweetwater a few weeks ago during soundcheck and while dialing in his sound he played about a 10 second piece to which I immediately blurted out, "Night Meets Light!" Said he was surprised I recognized it and could name an (obscure?) instrumental tune so quickly. Told him that the album "What If?" changed my life and he appreciated it.

Flying Colors tour starts next week - only three shows in the US - who's there?! I'm front row in Chicago! :)

Long time Morse / Dregs fan here. "What if" is still one of my favorites...

I think there are a few youtubes of those guys together...seems like I saw them some time back.
