OMG, I really liked Satch's guitar when I tried it long time ago, but that guy does have even more taste than I knew...
Playing the SM model really was a good choice.
Who knows, maybe one day BP will make him an offer he can't deny ?!
Well, his turn to contact EBMM anyway...

They have asked Steve many times he is just too busy with Deep Purple

This has come up before. satch is very happy with Ibanez and is really a nice man. He is jammin on one of Steve's guitars because he hapened to be at the gig.

I doubt Dave would have a problem playing the whole show after all the G3 tour they did in australia in december Dave played Petrucci's set, Satch's set and then the G3 jam so hey whats one more set to put the icing on the cake..

And B.P i toatally agree with you i have met satch a couple of times now and each time was so taken back by his politeness and how down to earth he was to talk to even though i was like a little kid meeting them all petrucci , satch and vai are all great guys.....
