Question Morse with axis pickups?

forgive me if this has been discussed... I was unable to find reference to it.

has anyone tried a morse guitar (in particular Y2D) with axis pickups??

I haven't tried it but have thought about it many times. I you try it please share your experiences.

I have. Bought one a few years ago and put a set of Axis p'ups I had lying around in it, along with some noisefree singles and 500k pots.

Smoked. Totally smoked. But I have other guitars with the same pickups so wanted the Morse to sound more like itself. Eventually sold the guitar but wired it back to stock first and kept the Axis pickups. The stock Morse bridge is damn killer.
