I have a Les Paul that currently has Skinny Top Heavy Bottom Slinkys on it. The guitar is set up for standard tuning.
I have decided that I'm going to leave the guitar tuned to Eb (down half a step) and want to put Beefy Slinkys on it. Is it likely I'll require the guitar to be set up again? Will the nut be all right (it was filed for the ST/HB strings)?
I realise these kinds of questions get asked all the time, I just couldn't find anything specific to my query. Thanks.
