Chris very kindly hosted another one of my practice mp3s. I just thought it would spice up the forum a bit(tasty Music Man tone). This is an mp3 from my "3-string era" :D (the period where I didn't buy a new set....)

Enjoy :) !!!

Sounds great!

It's my pleasure hosting the file. If you ever need anything else hosted just let me know. I have 5 GB's of space just waiting to be used.

They were both great.

Mantaray, very funky, I like it. Presumably you are doing a fair bit of left-hand slap on that track, particularly toward the end? Is that straight 'Ray or have you got some effects on there?

yeah. I'm using Cool Edit Pro 2.1. I remember downloading it with Kazaa. You could try getting it with Ares. Seems to be a good p2p software to use nowdays.

Hi and thanks. Yes I do some left hand slapping. The bass is my mighty sterling with no effects at all. As usual, straight into Protools using a preamp(not a bass preamp). No eq, no compression. That's why I looove this bass..... :)

If you want a good recording software which is truly free(for personal use) and not a 'cracked'(and therefore illegal) copy of CEP 2.1, why don't you try KRISTAL?

Marleaux user this is a nice piece that you made there. Although I'm not a fan of effects, it is very sweet and the OLP sounds very nice.

Mantaray-I've got your piece playing on loop on my computer at work. I love it. Can't wait to get a fretted bass, it's one of the first tunes I'm going to work out!

He He thanks to both of you!!

Marleaux- the Kristal is very good. You can record up to 24 bit 192 kHz(ultra clear) if your interface supports it and you can add VST plugins.

Bassmonkey, thanks for listening!

If I knew notes or how to write time measures for tabs I would write it down for you. At least I'll might try to write it....

Thankyou dude, that would be so great. But don't worry, I'll work it out, I've got 20 years of bass playing experience under my belt, there is very little I can't transcribe. Having said that a transcription would be nice. ;)
