I did the photoshop work on the Bongo girls, but of course I myself stole the cowgirl art off some internet place....but yeah, the copyright?

Seems like an asshat thing to do.

Warn them with legal threats.

I'd be pissed if people used my stuff without permission.

Agreed, dirty SOB's

At least ask for something to be put on the site giving you a mention?

Guys...I think there may be a reasonable explanation here.

The two "Bongogirls" actually appear on the home page of my website (at the bottom) and were put there with Jacks permission when I started up. Jacks handle also appears with them. You'll notice that I also claim copyright, but not in relation to the girls, but rather in relation to the site itself...for obvious reasons.

The owner of the above website has 2 of his Basses in my Pic Gallery. I usually give a link to the owners website beneath his/her Bass pic.

Some time ago, I noticed that his site gave a link to mine. I also noticed the "Bongirl" pics placed next to my URL on his site. I think the purpose of that was to merely associate some pics with my site URL. I don't believe he was intentionally claiming copyright to the actual pics themselves. The pics have now gone so I can't check what was said in relation to them. Maybe he saw this thread and decided to delete them to save any probs???

In any event, I've spoken to the owner of the site on a couple of occasions in the past. He seems ok. He may have worded things wrongly, but I really don't think he was trying to claim them as his own :)

I've always thought that art was like an STD - if you don't spread it around, no one knows you have it.

But he did put his own copyright on one of the Bongo girl photos, which was why I used the term "asshat".

But again, I have no legal claim to the original artwork, so there's not much to be said.
