Amen to the sentiments regarding Jon.

Back in the olden days, the days of yore, even before my transformation from ordinary mortal into Lord Bongo, moderator extraordinaire and King of All He Sees (which, okay, is mostly this laptop), this was a cool place to hang out. Jon and Derek were the VIPs from SLO and provided answers....I forget, who else was around way back?

Hah. "Way back." But in internet terms, 2 or 3 years IS a long time.

My, how we've grown. And my, how things have changed.

But it's still a very cool place, maybe even cooler than before.

No - DEFINITELY even cooler than before.

I think I deserve a lot of the credit.

Hah.

As I've said before, it's YOU guys who make this fun.

Questions:

1. Why do some threads go right over my head? I don't get the joke in this one.

2. Why do I get this really uncomfortable feeling in my stomach every time I see one of BPs posts lately?

It's possible that some people thought the instrument Dudley built was not real. I may have contributed to that belief by my initial response. Although I knew it was an actual instrument, Dudley's description (especially the seashell buzzomatic) had me laughing, so someone may have taken that to mean something it didn't.

If there were other things that went over your head, then I suggest you get some clothes on and get SERIOUS about life, young man!

2. Why do I get this really uncomfortable feeling in my stomach every time I see one of BPs posts lately?

Because as you get to know him better, and, even more importantly, as he gets to know you better, he isn't at all shy about making fun of you? Also, he does travel with a band of assassins, which puts some people off.

Maybe you're afraid of what he might do to your body, since he's using it as an avatar now?

I use to hit a lot of forums for synth/software gear, but I have never seen a company play such an active role in a user forum. I'm very impressed! Plus the fellowship with the company and customers is something I have never seen, very cool!

I look so forward to meeting all of you at the open house, I truly feel honored to get to hang out with all of you and put some faces on the names.

And a special thanks to Big Poppa, the fearless leader of this wacky bunch. :D

You let your wife see that ?

I didn't even let my wife see that!

The funny thing is after I impulse bought that beautiful ButterCream SR4, I've woke up with either a bloody nose or black eye every morning, my wife said it was common with men my age.

Don't worry I'm going to wear clothes, nice clothes... for me, I work at home...
