Dudley will be along shortly with a story for you pervs.

Fellow Tap fans,

Yes, it is I will one of Nigel's beauties.

Nigel Tufnel's double neck guitar / sitar, aka "Nitar". This baby is all Koa, with a book matched top and chambered body, in the "double-gourd" style. It's bound, all-around, with genuine Italian celluloid in a tasty Black & White block design. The inlays are genuine rhinestones set in stunning bezels, including the headstocks, knobs, and switch tips (carved from genuine bone). Topping off the embellishments, courtesy BP, is a portrait of Taj Mahal (the bluesman) in a fine gold frame, which is under my arm in the photo. We accessorized with a fine brass incense burner that can be hung by a gold chain from the headstock.

The Sitar side has 6 Sym-Pathetic strings which are tuned via the banjo style heads around the edge of the body. The Sitar effect is created by the strings buzzing against the sea shell imbedded into the bridge. The pickups are all DiMarzio. The guitar can be seen in action on the Spinal Tap 25th Anniversary video.

Rock on, Dudley

VERY cool Dudley! So...I'm not sure I understand the above sentence. "you will 'what' one of Nigel's beauties"? Offer it up for auction to us? ;)

Hey...my dream is to actually touch a Mr. Horsepower. Any chance we can get a look at one of the remaining models while we're at the open house? Ok...maybe not touch it...:D

Mike, BP said they have a couple around and he might be able to bring it.

I've love to see one as well.

Dudley, very cool, I can see why you are reguarded as a true innovator. I'll have to check out the 25th Anniverary Spinal Tap.

Thanx for the insight. Glenn |B)

Man,

Just one look at that guitar and you can SEE that it was a quality-made labor of love. It's a friggin' work of art!

I'll have to break out my Spinal Tap DVD and try to spot it.

Sorry, that's a typo. What I meant to say was me WITH one of Nigel's beauties! As for the Mr. H (We can't rightfully refer to it as you did) I think we can arrange to have a Nigel Tufnel model on display. I'll check into it for certain.

I've been pulling some pics out of my old photos, and you'll be seeing more early MM's and some wacky on-offs on this Forum in the near future. STAY TUNED!
