Good job if you did. If I lived in the UK, I would definitely take advatage of the weak USD when a rare axe like Mr. Horsepower surfaces.

My thoughts exactly. I'm assuming someone overseas got her because of the weak exchange. The BIN price was super high IMO, but if you knock off 30% (roughly) for the exchange rate, not unreasonable from my research.

I'm not saying how much I paid - the last one on eBay went for $11000.

It wasnt as much as that.

The exchange rate was certainly in my favour - I just hope the customs man at Heathrow will be when I bring it back!

BP - could you give me some kind of letter maybe - say it was a prize at the Open House?

There was a "buy it now" option on the auction? I didn't see one, what was the price?

Dave, that was a super score, congrats!

fogman - get in line!

I'm going to use Beth to my advantage first. She is my height after all.

BP you are a gent and I insist that I pay for your lunch at the Firestone.

Dave

PS. UK EBMM guys after the Open House we ought to organise a meet up and maybe Mr Horsepower will attend.

Excellent! You could meet at my jam session I run on Thursdays in West Drayton (near Heathrow) and put each others guitars through their paces!
