Here is some footage of Tony Macalpine ripping the guitar apart with some awesome improv on his instructional tape. Unfortunatly it is not a EBMM, but I thought I would share with some who dont know him. This is why I love this guy so much, because there is so much dynamics to his playing, and this was in the early days. Nobody really sounded like HIM.

that vid is from his instructional video that he did in the 90's. I've got that video hanging around here somewhere and yes he is a great player. I remember when his first album came out and his style was so different, but he was lumped in with all the other guys that were doing the shreddy stuff. If you can try to get ahold of this recording

Yeah- I remember that vid. Downloaded it a while back (eDonkey and BitTorrent are ideal for finding all of this stuff). Helluva player, that guy.

Tony's first two Shrapnel albums, plus the "M.A.R.S. Driver" project, are some of my favorite playing.

He's so damn GOOD.. and guitar is his '2nd' instrument! He plays piano/keys as well as he plays guitar!

I love his realy wide vibrato.. I don't know about you guys, but I can identify a *lot* of guitarists by ear, by listening to their vibrato. It's almost like a fingerprint.

Has EBMM ever tried to get a Music Man in Tony's hands?

Imagine what he could do with a badass guitar like an EB!
