I doubt it. The demand for 8 string guitars is limited to begin with so I don't think it would be worth MM's time and money making one, unless some big time artist asks them. The Bongo 6 is a direct result of John Myung wanting one, so you never know... with MM, you truly never know.

I don't kno man.. Mostly, the 6 string bass is used as standard setup as a 5 string, with the high C..
An 8 string guitar on the other hand, is lower than a 7 string mostly, so.. couldn't get it elsewhere :p

Your best chance is if John Petrucci decides he wants to play an 8-string guitar.

I'll give John a call later today, put the bug in his ear. I think it would be really neat to see one [from Music Man], but like it was already mentioned, the costs involved and demand isn't there for 8 stringers (yet). What we need perhaps is a well known Jazz artist to be endorsed by MM then that whole scope might change for the consumer.
