Music Man Amps?

There is a guy near me selling an original Music Man 2x12 cab unit. He says it sounds absolutely amazing. The price is fairly good so i was thinking about picking it up, but wanted some opinions before i spontaneously bought it.

Anyone here ever played through/heard one?.

I've never played one but I suspect they are going to be just like a Fender amp (not surprising considering... lol)
Those were pre Ernie Ball.

Ask BP, someone posted a pic with a ton of NOS left at the factory when EB took over.

Ask him to plug it in and take it for a whirl.

I have played a few - I think the Fender comparison is very fair. (And I have 2 Fender amps.)
