Fortunate to have EBMM basses with and without mutes. Definitely use the mutes on the ones that have them.

I installed drill free aftermarket mutes to the one musicman I got with no mutes on it. I love those bridges and I feel like the mutes are integral to what I think of as the musicman sound. It’s really great for getting the kind of thump you get out of a short scale with a full scale neck

This is the first time I have ever critically listened to or even thought about mutes. In this video, I like the sound with the mutes on.
