Guys,

Vote for your Favorite Non- Music Man paint Color. It can be a discontinued color or one that does not appear in our color chart. We will see if a particular color gets a lot of votes. If so we may consider making a limited run color for a certain model. Although we will take into consideration any cool color.

Example:
StingRay : Lake Placid Blue
Sterling : Hot Pink
Axis : Trans- Black

Were not talking Custom shop here just getting
some idea's for limited edition colors.

Thanks

Derek

Re: Limited Color

Hey Derek,
I have so many color's it isn't funny, but here goes:
Another run of Trans Green, And Trans Purple.
Gibson Colors: Desert Burst, Antique Natural, Firemist, And Rootbeer.
PRS Colors: Raspberry, BlackCherry, Whale Blue, Violin Amber, And TortiseShell. All these colors would be killer on an AXIS of course, The BEST guitars on the Planet.
See Ya !!!! :D

I always love natural, unfinished (just oiled) bodies, and would love to see silhouettes/ silhouette special with this option, perhaps even without the scratplate aswell. Alder may not be as eye catching as flamed/quilted maple, but there is just something very satisfying about having a a simple bare-wood body, both from a visual and tactile point of view.

Trans purple, but not the late Axis trans purple, but the trans purple that used to be on the EBMM EVH that would fade over time.

I also like trans burgundy.

A haloflash paintjob would be pretty awesome too.

Well, I absolutely gotta second this one:

Silhouette Special - Surf Green with MATCHING HEADSTOCK (very important :D) and pearloid guard...

Albert Lee - I'd like to see an AL with the full Mary Kaye treatement; semi-trans blonde body and headstock, white guard, gold hardware (with or without trem)

Derek,

Sea foam green would be VERY cool on an AXIS!!!

Yellow like the color you used on Mr. Horsepower would be cool on and AXIS

Well, I can't afford to buy another EBMM anytime soon, but I'd love to see one offered in Fender's surf green color. It would have to be a maple fretboard neck of course, with a white pickguard. For someone who can't afford a new guitar, I sure am picky!

Oops, make that a white PEARLOID pickguard. Black pickups/controls/tuners please. That's a cool look.

Gary

I forgot to mention that both of these posts were made while listening to Rik Emmett's "Spiral Notebook". IMHO the best singer AND guitar player to come from Canada, or anywhere else in the world for that matter :)

The silhouette was the first guitar EBMM put out in '86. Everything else is an artist model. Leave the artist models alone and do somthing cool with with what Leo started. A maple quilt top or high figured ash sil in trans blue with no pickguard. 4 of my 7 EBMM guitars are sils. Give me a reason to buy another one.

Hey Norm, Leo Fender didn't design the Silhouette, Dudley Gimpel did! But Dudley certainly ranks with Leo in the halls of great electric guitar design, imho...

Since you won´t give me a job . . .

Bring back the goldtop on the Axis. And for that matter, green would be nice as well. While we are at it, why not do an Axis Sport in natural (ash of course) with Tele pickups. You know, show the guys in Corona how a Tele should look, play and sound. It could look like this . . .
