Guys,

Vote for your Favorite Non-Music Man paint Color . It can be a discontinued color we have used before or something that is not in our color chart. We will see if a particular color gets
a lot of votes. If so we may consider making a limited run color for a certain model. Although we will take into consideration any cool color.

Ex : StingRay Lake Placid Blue
Sterling : Hot Pink
Axis: Trans Black

Were not talking Custom shop here just getting
some idea's for some limited edition colors.

Thanks,

Derek

Bring it on back! All basses.
Add: Blonde ("Mary Kaye" translucent off-white)-
How about building me a Blonde Bongo; Maple Board; no fingerboard dots!!

The sparkles. Any and all sparkles. But particularly Stratus Blue Sparkle Stingray.

Wait, cancel that last vote. Seafoam green! On any and all basses. Its my favorite color of all time. Not the crappy Surf Green Fender uses to market their crappy Mark Hoppus Bass to teenieboppers, but the original Seafoam Green. I'd be a Seafoam Green Stingray in a heartbeat.

Absolutely Jazzy! (I've got a natural SR5) BUT if one was to colour their bass I'd have to go with:

Seafoam Green with a resounding "Make mine a matching fretted/fretless pair with tort pick gaurds please!" (solid and trans might be cool)

trans white

and what about a trans Gray?? or "Smoke" finish? is that too custom shoppy?

and just to add a larff or two... how about the option of a metal flake in the clear coat on the natural finish models?? could be wacky!! :D

I saw a 77 Stingray that had been refinished Sea Foam Green, and until I saw it, I would have been a fan of Sea Foam (or Surf Green) as an option.

It was odd looking. But then I owned the world's finest translucent green Stingray 5, so what do I know?

Derek, I'm obviously a fan of the sparkle finishes although I know they didn't sell as well as expected. My belief is that the sparkle was too subtle. You should try one of those "bass boat" finishes, you know, the ones with sparkles about an inch wide. Big, garish, outspoke, smack your momma sparkle.

My one serious suggestion would be the NAMM bass color scheme - Inca Silver! Possibly without a pickguard or at least with a clear pickguard option.

The silhouette was the first guitar EBMM put out in '86. Everything else is an artist model. Leave the artist models alone and do somthing cool with with what Leo started. A maple quilt top or high figured ash sil in trans blue with no pickguard. 4 of my 7 EBMM guitars are sils. Give me a reason to buy another one.

when i could finally aford the sterling i so despratly wanted i really really wanted a Burnt Apple, but i talked to dealers here in the uk and was told that non were in the country. I would have to get one made to order and it would take 6 months. :(

I could't wait and i went for a natural blond finish, with a black scratch plate. It's great and i love it.:)

In fact i loved it so much that i decided 6 months later to put a Burnt Apple on order, and idly dream about it for the next 6 months as it was made and shiped.

When it finally arrived i was not disapionted, i opend the case to see the finish in all its glory, and was supprised to find sparkels in the red (somthing that does not come across in pictures)
It's gorgeous, stunning, beautiful. Its got a really nice 70's disco look and feel about it. I get loads of really nice comments about it and it makes me look great even if im playing pants!

I have not seen anyone else with one like it, not on music channels or at gigs, and i am so glad that i orderd it when i did as it appears that it is now discontinued. I would say i'm sad, but this just means that it will continue to be a rairty (at least on this side of the world)

sorry if i seem to be going on about it but i truly belive i own one of the most beautiful basses in the world. And where better to express my deep joy.
:D ;):D  ;)

I could not bear to part with the blond and still play it regularly.
I had to join two bands to justify the expence.
If i was to join a third maybe a vintage sunburst would be next on the list ;)

I love the sparkle finishes. I have a blue dawn sr5 and just adore it. Is a clear pickguard available to show off the lighter blue part of the finish?

I would definitely keep those sparkle finishes (blue dawn, burnt apple, and the other...crimson burst?).

In addition, I'd love to see some interesting bursts that are transparent...something like a green to blue burst (you can see them on the Pedulla Buzz basses). In addition, I think a more emerald bright green would be nice, as opposed to the olive-ish transp green that was offered previously.

Finally, purple was offered before, and would be cool.
