So, guys, I decided to change pickguard on my Sterling couple weeks ago.
We have only one EBMM distributor here in Ukraine, so I visited them and asked about replacement pickguards. Guess what? They said "It's impossible!".
I asked if there is any opportunity to order it the near future, but the answer was negative. I was really dissapointed, because I know that EBMM has a great customer service in US...
So, there were 2 ways to find a new pickguard - try to find it on ebay or to contact Ernie Ball company is US and try to order it. I decided to contact EB first. I wrote a letter to John Quinn from Music Man Customer Service, explained my situation and asked if I could order a pickguard right from EBMM company in US. He said that my local EBMM dealer MUST provide any replacement parts I need. But I said that my local dealer doesn't want to help me...
I've got a new letter from EBMM in 2 days. John said that he contacted my local dealer and they will take care of me. WOW! I was really impressed! I didn't even ask him about that, I just wanted to order pickguard directly from EBMM
In a couple of days I've got a letter from my local dealer. And that's when I was REALLY IMPRESSED!
They said that I could order anything I want and they will ship it very quickly! WOW! That's what I'm talking about! BUT...Then I was shoked about the price...it was MUCH LOWER then the price of any Music Man pickguard that I've found on ebay!!!YEAH!!! I think I will receive my new pickguard in couple of weeks!
