Any of you run your MM bass through Eden gear? Short of a tube amp, I'm happy with my Eden WT400 and 410T cab. I'm going thru the passive bass input for my two Fender passive Jazz's. The Stingray will go through the active input. What's the view here on Eden gear and MM's? (secret hand shake given)

I had trouble getting my kind of tone through my two ex-WT400s (I never learn, really). (Yes, I have had two.)

It seemed too boomy without having the real thump I go for. But there are lots of people out there who use those heads, so maybe it was just me and/or the combination of cabs I like to use.

They sure are convenient little suckers, aren't they?

I just spent the last week going through a WT550 and a 210XST as well as got to try out a CXCTimeTraveler 2x12 combo for one show. I was actually quite impressed with the sound. Alot of it had to do with the 210XST though I think, I've never liked the XLT series of cabs but the XST was definitely less boomy, the TimeTraveler head was cool too. I think over the course of the summer I might get into a 410XST to round out my rig.... for a while....:D

Hey TR4a - what part of Ohio are you from? You're in my neck of the woods!

Thanks for the welcome. The band I'm in has played some outdoor things down in that area I think. We do a thing in Butler called Butler Days.( really small town) we do an Applecreek festival also. Anywhere near there?

We do the oldies thing. 60's and 70's mostly. How about you? Anything from "At the Hop" to " Rosalita ". I favor the latter but the mix of music books us 80 to 90 gigs a year.

I should know this but what did you end up switching to Jack?

Well, it wasn't really a switch so much as it was a return to what I had been using all along, a Sunn 1200s through an Ampeg cab or two.

I bought the (2nd) Eden because they're so easy to pack in and out and I guess I was just looking for an "option". I probably would have kept it, but you know how it goes, Chuck came over one day and we got to talking and.....next thing you know, Chuck is paying Cutrer and Cutrer is sending me a natural/rosewood Stingray 5.

I guess I'm getting it next week.

So that's the story and I'm back to the Sunn for all purposes.

I do also have my Dream Rig, all Peavey! A SessionBass head (I think it's about 180 watts, don't hold me to that) and a Peavey 1-15 cab, 4 ohm.

You'd be surprised how good the stupid thing sounds.
