Gig Bag Recommendation

Hi,

I highly, highly recommend Gig Bags made by Levy's Leather Co. (www.levysleathers.com). In fact, Tony Levin endorses their straps. I use their double gig bag, and I must say that it is very well made (it's durable, has excellent padding and roomy front pouch).

I ordered it from Guitar Center a while back for about $100.

If I'm not mistaken, that IS a Levy's.

BP or Beth, any thought been given to making a gig bag available as an additional option? In addition the the hsc, that is. I certainly don't want to give up a hard case as the standard. It would be cool to have an EB MM gig bag.

Welcome to the forum, fred! My impression about the bag from the pic - it appears that the zipper runs straight up the edge of the bag, which means that if there's no additional padding there the zipper could ding up the headstock of your bass if it hits it. But you might want to ask Dargin (one of the forum members here) about the bag. I remember him saying that he uses one for his Bongo.

I've owned the MM bag for over 6 years.
It's a good one & has enough room in the
storage packet for your small stuff. Don't
worry about the zipper - I've never had
any scratches from it. It secures the bass
very tightly - there's no shifting with an
SR4 or SR5 and very little w/a Sterling.
After 6+ years the should strap has begun
to tear from the bag but it's still pretty darn
rugged.

I'd buy another.
