Hey there guys,

I'm new to this forum, after having some serious tuning issues with my guitar I decided to give it a try on this forum, I hope someone can help me out. I have the following issue:
- my high e string bended quite hard, so I gave the neck a bit more release and everything was okay again ( im always using 0.9 btw )
- after that I noticed I couldn't get the intonation right, turning the screw on the bridge didn't seem to have any effect on the intonation (mainly on the high e string , a bit on the high b string )
- that week my high E string broke for the second time (it broke at the end of the bride, only the eye of the string came loose)
- now the real problem arrose: after cleaning my fretboard (for this I removed all the strings, something I normally don't do offcourse) I cant seem to get my high e string up to tune anymore. I tune's up to a high D and then goes flat. Tuning back up to E wil eventually lead to the breaking of the string.

- I allready tried to file the hole at the saddle a bit
- Put some pencil lead on the nut

- To summarize the problem: high e goes flat when tuning and eventually breaks when trying to tune up and I can't intonate the high e and b string, maybe some of the problems have a sort of connection I'm overseeing here.

Thanks in advance, I really hope someone can help me out here

BrickGlass is right - contact CS immediately, these guys will help you for sure ,
As for the string breakage , sounds like worn bridge saddles to me - used to have the same issue , replacing the saddles helped - just for the record : got the solution and the new saddles from CS - greetings Jacob Rocha :) !!!

Several thoughts:

1) Unless you're going to block the bridge when you replace ALL strings, change strings one at a time.

2) What type of strings are you using?

3) Are you changing gauge when you change strings?

4) You say the string breaks where it attaches to the ball (the "eye"?); this sounds like shoddy string construction; unless by "bride" you meant "bridge," but it's possible "bride" is a string term that I haven't heard before - hell, learn something new every day: the little ball on top of a flag pole is called a "truck." Anyway, on a perfect EBMM guitar where the string is overly tightened, the bridge (saddle) has the "sharpest" bend so would be most likely to break.

5) Were all the other strings on and intonated perfectly but this one particular string wouldn't work?

6) Was the locking tuner tightened enough?

It sounds like maybe you tuned up the high E string, then put the B on, tuned it up, then realized the E needed tuning up, then put the G on, then the E needed tuning up, until eventually the high E was just too tight and snapped. I always put strings on low to high. Anyway, I'm sure there's nothing wrong with your guitar (at least before you took a file to it lol). I suspect there's a slight error in the way you change strings that's jammin' you up. But I'm sure you'll figure it out. Good luck!
