Hello. I inadvertently used rechargeable batteries (3x AA) on my Music Man Majesty. Preamp appears to be dead, no blinking lights when batteries were replaced with fresh alkaline ones. I tried draining the residual power by pluging in a guitar cable to the guitar leaving the other end unplugged. No luck as of yet. Hoping someone with this issue in the past can help. Thanks in advance!

Hi and welcome to the forum!

Call Music Man customer service on Monday and let them help diagnose with you.

From this end all I can tell you is that rechargeable batteries will never harm your Majesty's electronics. The voltage they give out may be a little too low for it to work properly but it can never damage it.

Good luck!

Not trying to be "that guy" but please ensure you oriented the batteries the right way. Happens to the best of us.

And I'm used supposedly new batteries before that didn't work. Try others.
