does eb use metric or standard on thier hex head screws for the hardware on a newer music man?
also what's up with the strings I just bought a set of new eb hybrids and e and a were dead as could be. I noticed on this site that there were quite a few people that have had the same problem, is there a shelf life for strings?

Hey Clay,

Don't take this as gospel, but I believe that our hex head screws are standard.

We inspect all of our strings by hand before they leave the factory and we can barely keep these strings in the warehouse, so the problem is not likely in the manufacturing or storage at our warehouse.

Factors such as humidity and temperature can affect the life and tone of your strings. Where are you located?
