There are no notes specifying that it is a Mary Kay in the database and I couldn&#039;t find any notes in our archive for the Mary Kay finish. Dan is a good source for that though as he was more involved with the company closer to that time period. Production number records are not available.</div>

Ernie Ball doesn&#039;t have any records from that era. If it has a &quot;Sabre&quot; logo at the headstock the neck is probably swapped out. Sabre necks are mostly the same as the StingRay, but you could order them with a narrower (jazz-style) neck.</div>

It does appear to be a pre EB serial number as Bert mentioned. Unfortunately the database didn&#039;t come around until the late 1980s after Ernie Ball took over the company so we don&#039;t have the production records for the pre and early EB instruments unfortunately.
