Hello, I recently purchased a Stingray 5 with serial number 52472. If you could provide me with info I'd appreciate it.
This StingRay5 was completed on September 23rd, 1991. The color is Black with a Maple neck. It was originally shipped to Guitar Center.
Ah, forgive me for my rudeness! Welcome Collin (although im even newer

) the bass i was asking about has a natural finish. What can i make out of this? Is it a fake or maybe a mutilated monster? Frankenbass

? Thanks anyway
Hey no worries, we are both getting started here. I double checked serial number E04279 and it is coming up in the database as originally shipped from factory as Trans Red. It could be possible it was refinished after market. Sorry we don't have more information on how it became natural.
You did get an official and accurate answer to your inquiry.
We'd like to welcome Collin to the forum. He'll be helping Joel out with serial number inquiries. He didn't have EB credentials under his name at first but he does now!
Thanks, looking forward to it!
Once again, can I get info on F09332 JP7? Thank you!
