This SM has not been ridden hard. In fact it appears that it's hardly been ridden at all. Zero buckle rash, no dings, only slight fret ware on 2 & 3.
The case is at least a decade older than the guitar. My hunch is that the case was tainted w/mildew before becoming the guitar's new home where it likely all started. The guitar oder is slight - the case is a couple notches nastier. I'll probably throw it (the case) in the dumpster unless I come across some magic (soon).
