Hi,
I'm looking to purchase a SR4 Stealth SLO which has an ebony fretboard. My question is will the ebony scratch with roundwound strings and leave a discoloration on the fretboard?

I had a Roasted Bongo almost a year, with a couple of sets of Slinky's on it with no problems or with other basses with ebony boards over the years.

going on a couple of years with ebony FB on bongo, and about 5 years on another bass with ebony FB... barely a mark in it on either bass and it doesn't really discolor, although it shows finger guk more than rosewood...
