I've heard talk that the maple tops Music Man uses on it's guitars are not as pretty or figured as they used to be. Do you agree? I don't really have an opinion. With a natural product like wood you're going to get variation from piece to piecs and from year to year.

I think the person who said this was implying that Music Man is lowering their standards to mass produce more guitars. I'm not sure this has to be true. I've always though they had some of the best tops in the business.

What's your opinion?

I am definately in disagreement. I find that the heads of their guitars are as great as the rest of it. The only complaint that I have ever had with them is that the g string nob gets bumped a lot. But I think that is less the fault of the guitar and more the fault of my absolute inability to controll my body.
